Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Stress fracture in passenger mirror and driver mirror. Heard from dealer that this has been a problem, but do not see it listed anywhere. Has happened to me in each mirror separately. First time while using the mirror defogger, 2nd time while just driving down the road. The mirrors just crack up the middle and the sound is like someone has thrown a rock at your vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #723914, filed 2000-06

“When driving both of the side view mirrors cracked. Consumer notified the dealer about this issue in the past. However, the problem recurred. Vehicle needed repair on front brakes; however, it was declined by the consumer.”

NHTSA complaint #10074054, filed 2004-07
