“Just after servicing the motorcycle at 600 miles it stalled while shifting into gear. There was no problem prior to the service. The motorcycle totally shut down when shifting into gear. Primarily, first gear 5 times and once going into second gear, and it was almost rear-ended twice the day I rode it after the service. I have only ridden it the once and will not ride this motorcycle now because of the safety concerns. I have been in contact with the dealer, but have not resolved the problem. …”

Melts and destroys other components surrounding the unit, such as the oil breather tank and the seat. This problem is identified in the NHTSA database for other Ducati models. The voltage rectifier is used on many Ducati models and should be included in the recall, in particular the 2007 to 2008 s4rs models which have identical parts. This issue is widely known in the community. As proof, aftermarket parts and relocation kits are available. …”
