She notified the dealer and they confirmed that her VIN was included in the recall, however, they would not perform the repair. They stated that the vehicle was too old and was no longer a ford product. Three weeks after she learned of the recall, the vehicle had 151,000 miles. While driving 5 MPH, the contact heard a clunking noise and the rear engine locked up. The transfer case caused the engine to stall. The vehicle was towed to her residence and the dealer was notified. …”

“Dt: the contact stated there was NHTSA recall campaign 98v069002 issued in 1998 concerning the transfer case. The contact was not the original owner of the vehicle, but knew that the previous owner took the vehicle to dealer to have the recall work done. Currently, has the same problems with the vehicle, and the manufacturer will not solve the problem again.”

“Awd transfer case lockup while driving 30-45mph. Called local dealers in md & pa to find out if there were any recalls.
