“Esc comes on after starting auto, I back up and the steering wheel will not turn, it is locked. Not safe! Dealer says may be short in module in steering wheel. I live in desert, dry area why a short? They want $900 to fix a safety issue. I feel the manufacturer should pay. My warranty will not pay. Turn engine off and back on ESC goes out and I can drive. So far this has not occurred while driving on the road.”

NHTSA complaint #11120058, filed 2018-08, 66,000 miles

“Car started acting weird 3-4 weeks ago finally took the car to the dealer and they stated the powertrain was not working and there were some recalls and they could not fix due to the car is not giving codes and the tranmission recall cant be fixed. And this would cost 8832.82 to fix on a car purchase not even 2 years old from a dealer enterprise. 2 recalls and no one told me or the dealers did not fix before selling me the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11003236, filed 2017-07, 15 miles

“Rakata recall,I have problems whit my car when I lost my battery out of charge when I was running ,so I put charge whit a smart charger and by my surprise the car don't start I go to the dealer and the dealer says that I burned the computer but it's not true I don't change anything so anyways I have 28000 miles in 3 years old car and the company don't want to repair because they don't so I need to pay + 1200 to fix the problem and the car that I know have warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #11176493, filed 2019-02, 28,327 miles

“I was driving straight at 75mph on the highway in tucson, arizona. Suddenly the car began to speed up and slow down. The dash displayed (! Manual unavailable) the car began to jump from park, neutral, d2 and d6 until the car came to a complete stop. It took three of us to push the car off the freeway. Prior to this I have noticed that over the past month when I press on the gas pedal the car does not move. Then it suddenly starts going. I am very concerned for my safety and the safety of others with regards to my car.”

NHTSA complaint #11350311, filed 2020-08, 111,000 miles

“My wife and I bought this car in 2013. We have had issues with the ESC pulling us into traffic and off the road. We live in a windy road area near yosemite national park and can't safley drive around without having to shut ESC off every time we drive in fear the car tries to pull us off the road with our children inside. We have expressed our concern to the dealer the very first time it happened and nothing has been done. The dealership says there is no problem at all.”
