2004 Ford Ranger Other or unknown Problems

“Took truck for state inspection and garage called 2 days later,said they can't inspect it due to frame being cracked in 2 places and frame is rotted away. Truck only has 66930 miles on it and looks in very good shape. I was shocked when they pointed out the problems. I called Ford motor co and they won't do anything about it. Truck has been driven up to that point.”

“The first time, I made a left ,after the light changed, and the back end made 180 degree swing to my right. I was able to pull the wheel and put the truck back in the lane. Traffic in the lanes to my right where held back by the red light. The next time I was coming to the corner to make a left at about 35 MPH and the truck made two 360 degree spins and one 180 degree flip and stopped just before an overnight parked semi-truck, also the three cars coming to the light arrived just after my truck came to a stop. Both times it happened on a city street and not on the highway thank god. !!! …”

“The frame on the passenger side of my truck has rusted out and broke apart from the cab. The other frame on the driver's side is still holding up the bed, but it will soon give way. There was no accident, nor was the vehicle abused. I realized the problem after I became concerned over the truck beginning to sway when I was driving. Nobody has ever heard of this happening like it did. My truck is basically junk now. It is 10 years old and never had engines problems nor electrical issues. I do not know if this will result into anything, but this needed to be filed in case I'm not the only one.”

“Frame is rotting away, large holes in the rear half of the frame can be found, you can push your fingers thru the frame in spots. The rear shackle brackets came completely off with the frame. Can mounts and bed mounts are rusting/ falling off. Spare tire well fell off with spare tire while driving. Charcoal filter fell off during driving. Frame is cracked on passenger side between can and bed. Truck only has 115770 miles and the rear half of the frame from the cab back is literally falling apart.”

“Frame is rusting completely thru it has only 75000 miles on it and has been garage kept .I purchased it from a dealer in pa and live in wv purchased it in 2018”
