Example complaints
Other or unknown: “When I got my camper back from Shasta after they had the camper 79 days for repairs. I looked under my camper and I found they just put a few screws in the wheel wells to fix damage from wheels busting the wheel well loose from my camper, and it still has gaps in the wheel wells and exposed screw with the pointed end pointed towards my tire ...”

If it would have busted or came loose that could have cause a bad accident... Returned to the dealership to be repaired..”
NHTSA complaint #10758570, filed 2015-08, 45 milesWheels: “I have a travel trailer with 15' white painted steel spoke wheels, after a year one had a air leak where the rim and spokes are welded together, about 6 months later another wheel had the same thing happen, I ended up putting innertubes in them. In sept. Of this year while traveling at 65mph on highway 80 in iowa, we had a wheel/tire failure since we never felt anything when it happened we didn't pull over right away, I thought the noise I heard was a truck passing us but after it passed the noise was still there. …”
NHTSA complaint #11142321, filed 2018-10, 8,000 milesSuspension: “I have a Shasta airflyte reissue and when receiving it from the dealer and towing it home, I found that the tires had rubbed the wheel well. There was only about an inch of clearance at the top and only about 1/2 inch on the inside wall of the wheel well. The driver side, or road side is closer than the passenger side?? Shasta, thru the dealer, put a banana shackle on to raise the clearance. I still only have 1 3/4 on driver side, and 2 1/4 on passenger side, and about 1 on the inside wall. The problem seems that the springs are cheap, from china, and flat. …”
