2023 Genesis G70 Steering Problems

“The contact owns a 2023 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while driving 5 MPH, there was an audible alarm before the steering wheel turned to the right and crashed into a parked vehicle. A Police report was filed; however, the information was not provided. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. Additionally, after the tow truck driver inspected the vehicle, the contact was informed that the passenger’s side front tie rod was fractured. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and a case was filed. The contact was informed that an inspector would be scheduled to inspect the vehicle. …”

“While driving my Genesis G70 on the highway in rainy conditions, the vehicle repeatedly loses traction and hydroplanes at normal highway speeds. The car begins sliding across lanes with very little control. During a prior incident, driver-assist features (lane keeping assist) were active. Rain appeared to interfere with the sensors, and the system malfunctioned by steering incorrectly. The steering wheel became difficult to control, and the vehicle attempted to steer into another lane while traction was already compromised. …”
