Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Each incident has been fixed at least four (4) times (struts on the left and right rear), with the exception of the air bag (thankfully). I have asked the dealer of any know recalls and complaints but have not had any luck. The rear strut failure causes the car to become uncontrollable at highway speeds and fishtails extremely bad.”

NHTSA complaint #724951, filed 2000-07

“The right rear strut separated from the strut mount, causing the right wheel to collaspe. The driver losted control of vehicle. Vehicle flipped over and driver was ejected and killed immediately.”

NHTSA complaint #816800, filed 1997-10
