Example complaints
Electrical system: “While operating my 2024 GMC Hummer EV at a low speed in a school zone, I came to a complete stop at a stop sign and began making a left turn. As I initiated the turn, the steering wheel suddenly locked and became unresponsive. I was unable to turn the wheel back to the right or regain control of the vehicle’s direction. At the same time, the vehicle did not respond as expected when attempting to stop. Because I could not steer or properly control the vehicle, I collided with another vehicle. The impact with the other vehicle is what ultimately brought my vehicle to a stop. …”

The brakes felt hard and the vehicle did not feel like it was stopping as quickly as it normally would. When I parked the vehicle and exited no warning lights or other items were shown on the dash. Once I got back in the vehicle, a MIL light was lit and the Service Brake Assist message was displayed. With the vehicle running, it would not move either forward or reverse. …”

NHTSA complaint #11771235, filed 2026-10Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors): “The windshield wipers do not work. When the wipers are turned on, the spray comes on and does not turn off. You are unable to see as the spray keeps spraying the entire time the wipers are on. I took the dealer twice and they have been unable to repair. They now say are waiting for parts. I can't be the only one. This is very concerning. Luckily I live in Las Vegas and we have little rain. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? wipers and yes How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? …”
