“Loss of stop lights and rear hazard lights. This is the third occurrence for this particular vehicle. Each time I have had to have the multi-function switch replaced at a cost of $395-439. This defect is addressed in campaign # 01v364000 for 200 and 2001, but not my 1999. All use the same GM part number.”

NHTSA complaint #867861, filed 2000-08“The daytime running lights go off whenever the turn signal is used. When the turn signal is turned off, the daytime running lights turn back on. I consider this a safety defect because to oncoming drivers and also people ahead of you it appears you are signalling them. This is especially pronounced in heavy traffic with many lane changes. Here in seattle, this may provoke an act of road rage as to the wrong person this light flashing could be interpreted as a hostile act.”
