“I have a 2004 Gmc Sierra that has an electrical issue with the ABS or brake system. The brake light, ABS light and service brake system light goes off at random times. Might have something to do with the air conditioning because the A/C draws power from the battery and I can see that a certain level the indicators go off. Most of the time the lights chime and blink when I apply the brake but it also has happened when just turned the truck on. I've replaced the rotors and pads to still have the problem. I'm not sure if it's a ground or sensor that is failing. …”

“The contact owns a 2004 Gmc Sierra. He was attempted to take the spare tire off of the undercarriage but was unable to remove it. The failure and current mileages were 46,000. Updated 11/22/10 updated 11/23/10”

NHTSA complaint #10352805, filed 2010-08, 46,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2004 Gmc Sierra. The contact stated that the mechanism to lower the spare tire on the vehicle was inoperable. The cable would lower but the tire would not. The contact stated that because of the safety mechanism, there was no way to remove the spare tire from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility where the mechanic had to use a torch and cut the spare tire loose. The contact stated that the spare tire looked as if it was never removed from vehicle and believed that rust and corrosion caused the tire to become stuck. …”
