“The truck was parked in my driveway when I got in and started the ignition. As soon as I did, the plastic dashboard cracked at the passenger side air bag. One week later, same situation, as I started the ignition, the dash cracked above the driver's side instrument panel. The cracks have continued to grow since initially appearing. …”

NHTSA complaint #10826142, filed 2016-02, 86,000 miles

“The dash board on my 2010 Gmc has cracked in several areas, including at the passenger airbag. I have strong concerns that the dash will break apart in an accident if the airbag were to deploy and possibly injure occupants in the cabin. The plastic is very brittle and could easily cut someone.”

NHTSA complaint #10632911, filed 2014-09, 63,500 miles

“Dashboard is getting a large crack in it either due to stress or sun heating and cooling(expansion/contraction). This is a pleasure vehicle, no work, nothing ever put on the dashboard. Concern that airbag may not deploy properly.”

NHTSA complaint #10574143, filed 2014-03, 55,000 miles

“During a crash at high speeds and frontal impact the air bags did not deploy. I was life flighted to the hospital and suffered life altering injuries. My 2 kids were also in the vehicle and sustained injuries which they are still being treated for.”

There were no warning lights illuminated. As a result, the vehicle impacted the other driver on the driver-side front and back door, where it came to a stop. None of the air bags deployed. The contact suffered injuries to his lower back, legs, and a bump on the head with a bruise. The contact's aunt suffered injuries to her back and hip. …”
