“Since 40-45k miles my Gmc yukon 1500 xl has had a terrible slack in the steering. As I'm driving on the highway, gust of wind shifts the vehicle half a lane to the other side. There's been times I almost hit the car in the other lane. Everytime I took the car in for a check, the dealership was less than motivated to even check the problem.”

Had a new battery, and would only take a charge when bypassing battery directly into engine. Now something is draining battery and if I don't start and run every two days , battery dead. NHTSA complaint #10732819, filed 2015-07, 123,000 miles“This has occurred several times since the initial occurrence. At various speeds (5-55 MPH) the steering goes out and you cannot move the steering wheel. Our vehicle has been in the shop multiple times over the years to correct this. The mechanics cannot find anything wrong, and since this is not a continuous problem, they are unable to experience it. It's a frightening experience when you are on the beltway and need to take an exit, or follow the beltway bearing right or left and you have no control of your steering. More frightening is when you have your children in the vehicle. …”
