“My vehicle was parked in my driveway, stationary, on a suburban street in a small town overnight beginning at about 8pm on friday august 12,2016. The following morning, august 13, 2016 at at about 7:30 am I entered the vehicle to go to the store and observed a large crack running perpendicular with the dash from near the window to a over the instrument cluster. This is a known defect with similar GM models between 2007-2013(14). The safety concern is that the poorly crafted plastic dashboard cracks easily with no pressure applied to it. …”
NHTSA complaint #10895500, filed 2016-08, 80,000 miles“I have been a long time buyer of GM products, I still have a 99 tahoe, 07 Gmc savanna and an 02 Gmc sierra hd 2500, recently purchased a 2012 yukon xl denali used with 22,000 miles on it from old saybrook Gmc in ct, clean as a whistle everything looked, went to wash it and spray underneath in the first week after I bought it and noticed underneath the frame wax all pealing and frame very rusted, along with many other things rusting . My 02 with 170,000 miles on it looks better then this. Also went on line and there are a lot of people complaining about the same thing. …”

NHTSA complaint #10818651, filed 2016-01, 43,000 miles“Will follow up with more info, I live in the north east and have spoken with tech's at GM dealers and they have stated that its just a cold weather issue so GM wont fix the issue, my vehicle has had 8 or 9 door handles replaced the fasteners inside of door are plastic and water gets in there freezes and cracks plastic then door handle basically comes off in you hand, GM refuses to stand behind it and soon wants to charge me approx. …”
