“I took delivery of my 2003 Gmc Yukon slt on 22 december 2003. It has chassis problems since it had 500 miles on the odometer. I have taken it to the dealership service department for the following chassis related complaints multiple times: front end vibration and highway speeds (50+ MPH), steering wheel pull at all speeds, and sudden loss of power steering. In the past, GM service has aligned the front end, balanced wheels, replaced tires, replaced the power steering pump, and replaced the steering gear. Vehicle service history is available. …”

“Have a 2003 Gmc Yukon with firestone wilderness le p265/70r16 tires on it. Have balanced and rotated tires as recommended. Previous balanced/rotate at 20,000. Current mileage 24,000 and mechanic refused to rotate due to broken belts and washboard effect showing on all tires. Mechanic stated these are the same tires as previously recalled. Could lead to complete tread/belt speraration.”

NHTSA complaint #10098083, filed 2004-11, 24,000 miles

“The front and rear right tires experienced tread separation. The two right side tires had blown out. The vehicle had gone into a 360 degree turn on the interstate.”

NHTSA complaint #10006836, filed 2003-02, 2,000 miles

“I crossed over sunset and got on 77 s at approximately 10:30 p.m. All of a sudden my vehicle spinned out of control. It skidded to the left, I had no control of the vehicle, it skidded back to the right, spinned around. When the vehicle stopped I was facing traffic. I reported it to my insurance company the next morning. I was the only one in the car. I did not get seriously hurt. I went to the doctor and got myself checked. I had a big bruise on my leg and I was sour for about three weeks. The vehicle is at the body shop for repairs.”
