I squeezed the front brake lever as I was starting the bike and felt the lever fully depress. I saw brake fluid squirt on the bike and onto my leg. My mechanic says he has heard of this problem from other mechanics. I am the original owner.”

The belt was fairly new and had just been replaced approximately 2 years ago by a harley dealer in virginia. At that time the same thing happened while riding the belt suddenly broke and I was coming down a steep grade and was almost run over by a large truck. I was at the bottom of a hill and trying to accelerate when the belt broke. The first time the belt broke the mc had about 35,000 miles on it. …”
