2008: “2008 Cyclone toyhauler, Heartland. I have had up to eight blow outs on this trailer due to under rated tires and axle. I have had to have the sides of the camper repaired on both sides in 2009. Then this year I had two blow out and now have to have the side of camper repaired again. Can some one do something to Heartland about this? There are people out there with the same issues.”
NHTSA complaint #10411680, filed 2011-07, 2,000 miles2012: “We were towing a 2012 Heartland Cyclone 300c 5th wheel toy hauler trailer equipped with tow max 235/80 r16 trailer tires in april, 2013 on ca hwy 60 near riverside, ca when the left rear trailer tire blew. There was no sign that I struck an object or ran over anything. Luckily I had exited freeway and caught flat before any damage occurred. All 4 trailer tires had 80 PSI and trailer was not over loaded. I changed flat tire with spare until replacing it with a goodyear marathon of the same size. …”
NHTSA complaint #10557336, filed 2013-12, 1,500 miles2014: “Driving south into ga with our 2104 Heartland Cyclone 5th wheel ,I stopped at a rest area. As always, I do a walk about rv inspection. Looking at the rv tires I spotted a golf ball sized ballon in the sidewall of our 235/85r-16 ''tow max tire located right at the edge of the rim. The tires have about 7,500 miles on them, excellent tread and inflated to 80psi as recommended by Heartland rv. I put the spare on and proceeded to find a tire shop. We stayed at a camping world lot. About 2 hours into our stay we heard a very loud noise. …”
