Example complaints

Tires: “While traveling west on mo-7 approx 2 miles east of garden city, the rear drivers side tire blew out on our bumper tow 1995 Holiday Rambler travel trailer with tandem tires. The tire was less than 4 years old, and had less than 3,000 miles on it on this temperate fall day, when the tread separated and the tire blew out. The approx. 6 ft long loose tread flailed the wheel well and severely damaged the wheel well, trailer side and the waste water tank drain lines, valves, and valve controls. Vehicle speed was approximately 58 miles per hour on an excellent asphalt road surface. …”

NHTSA complaint #10838606, filed 2016-02

Suspension: “(lawyer on behalf of plantiffs)...there have been numerous consumer complaints about a recall issued on said vehicle. The parts used for recall repair for trailer instability was a cheap remedy to appease the federal government, also due to the lack of stability of the recreational vehicle, there have been accidents, due to the manufacturer not willing to use the correct parts.”

NHTSA complaint #564373, filed 2002-02

Body and structure: “The spring hanger bracket which is welded to the frame broke, causing major damaged to tires/shocks and right side of panelling. Problem not corrected.”
