“Transmission not shifting right, lock out, car not moving. Van cannot go in reverse. Before it happened notice that when turning left, indoor lighting flickers especially obvious at night time driving. At stop it hesitate and when stepping at accelerator, the van jerks and jumps to high speed causing me to brake right away, felt a whiplash every time. Check recall ended after seven years but owner did nor receive any letter from Honda office about the recall. Try to contact Honda but told me recall ended.”

NHTSA complaint #10578801, filed 2014-04, 97,767 miles

“Hazy headlamps. This is a quote from popular mechanics that describes my problem better than I could: most cars and a lot of trucks today are manufactured with headlamp assemblies that use quartz-halogen bulbs plugged into the back of a large plastic reflector. The outer surface of these headlamp modules is molded polycarbonate plastic. That plastic is much lighter than glass and far more resistant to stone chips and cracks. However, after a few years of exposure to sunlight and atmospheric chemicals, polycarbonate has a tendency to get hazy. …”

NHTSA complaint #10287279, filed 2009-10, 139,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2000 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that the sliding door on the passenger side will not close tightly. The door open alarm continues to chime due to the failure. The dealer diagnosed the cause of failure as the motor on the sliding door and they made the repair. However, the failure continues. The current and failure mileages were 111,916. The dealer stated check lens on cyclops brake light, small lens access cover broken. Updated 08/28/07”
