“I was driving my 1998 Honda Passport at a speed of 35 MPH on a clear day, on a straight level road. The weather conditions were clear and the road conditions were good. The vehicle was in good shape with no prior accidents. At one point a vehicle cut in front of me and I ran into the side of the vehicle. The Honda was a total loss. The airbags failed to deploy! I sustained severe injuries to my neck. If the airbags had deployed I would not have sustained neck injuries. …”

NHTSA complaint #10083690, filed 2004-07, 93,000 miles“Was traveling 50-55mph when another vehicle cut in front of Passport, cutting it off at 10-15mph & was rearended. Upon impact, the Passport's air bags (driver/passenger) did not deploy. Had vehicle repaired. Passenger had facial cuts. Driver had disc problems, some damage to left arm.”
