NHTSA complaint #11717124, filed 2026-02

“Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Emergency Braking Forward Collision Warning Lane Departure Warning Lane Keeping Assistance Auto -high beams Every time I start up my car all the above error messages come up stating there is a problem. My cruise control is not able to be used at all. This appears to be a very common issue amongst Honda Sensing from the research I have done. Honda was even taken to court over this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11762628, filed 2026-09

“I am experiencing a sudden and total failure of the front windshield-mounted camera sensor on my 2020 Honda Passport. Without warning, the vehicle's dashboard displays a cascade of simultaneous critical system errors as documented in my attachments. When this camera fails, it completely disables the entire Honda Sensing safety suite. The vehicle abruptly loses critical crash-avoidance features, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Keep Assist. …”

“When turning on car all the advanced systems fail. I need to restart my car sometimes 3 times to clear error from instrument panel, otherwise if I drive the car none of the advanced safety features work. Honda has been unable to diagnose and twice has withheld paper work.”

NHTSA complaint #11446134, filed 2022-01

“The vehicle constantly activates the collision warning system any time on a 2 lane road and a car approaches the opposite way. The steering wheel shakes and flashes the brake on dash. Not only is it annoying it is dangerous because it catches you off guard nearly cause accidents. I’ve had in for service one dealer said it was bugs on the camera and another told me they would only look at it if I paid $200.00 the vehicle is still under warranty.”
