“The car is park at home for the first time after the purchase from the dealer the day before. I went to start the car in the morning the brake pedal is stiff, hard, or locked causing the car to not start when start button is pushed. I ended up using the remote start and goes in the car put my foot on the pedal; the brake pedal is no longer stiff, hard, or locked and the car start when I pushed the start button. Every day is the same since.”

NHTSA complaint #11406823, filed 2021-04, 14 miles

“This has happened several times but today it was dangerous. I was doing around 40mph and there were some changes in the concrete color and my car slammed on the breaks (again) for no reason. I was almost hit. This keeps happening in my vehicle and I am terrified to drive it. Please help get this recalled. I have a child with cancer and I bought this safer vehicle to transport her to the hospital.”

NHTSA complaint #11760788, filed 2026-08

“The passport flashes BRAKE and steering wheel shakes for no reason. I’ll be driving down the road nothing near and it does this. A few times it’s actually applied the brakes. Thank goodness no one was behind me as it potentially could have caused an accident. This occurs daily. Especially if I am driving on a 2 lane road”

NHTSA complaint #11583595, filed 2024-04

“This afternoon traveling home from our 5 year olds swim class, turning into our neighborhood at appropriate speed and braking. Shortly after I turned in, my passport jerked, dinged, locked the steering and then was ok. No error lights came on but was very scary. Too many recalls with this vehicle”

NHTSA complaint #11647271, filed 2025-03

“The vehicle infotainment system froze. Several minutes later after driving, I pressed the brakes but they did not function. The vehicle would not stop and crashed into the vehicle in front of me. Emergency braking did not engage or otherwise show signs of activation. After turning off the car and dealing with the accident, I restarted the vehicle and the brakes and infotainment system operated normally.”
