Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The seat does not signal that a child is seated in the seat or to put on a seat belt. Shows as if no one is in the passenger right hand seat. Then when my child has the seat belt connected it signals to reconnect multiple times on the dash blinking red and green with sound. Please see picture below. My child is in the right passenger seat with the dealt belt on and shows no one is seated on the dash. When we are turning it blinks red and green.”

NHTSA complaint #11763901, filed 2026-09

“the seatbelt alarm on the passenger side middle row seat keeps beeping and flashing the seatbelt warning despite the passenger being bucked in. The dealer says the belt is covered under warrant but the buckle is not. The sensor in the buckle is supposedly the issue. Its a system... Am I supposed to tie my kid in with just the strap? The constant alarming while driving is a distraction. Failure to address is going to result in people not buckling into the seat.”

NHTSA complaint #11757643, filed 2026-08

“I bought the car brand new in December 2024. About 3 months later I had to get the struts replaced and had multiple problems that Honda deems as “fine”. The AC cooling is terrible and worse that my 2009 Dodge and 2015 Accord. The steering wheel has a springy rattling noise, and the phone won’t connect to the car at random times. They replaced the struts after returning twice. One year later in March my SRS warning light came on and the dealership fixed it a total of 3 different times, each time not taking care of the problems. …”

NHTSA complaint #11751510, filed 2026-07

“Safety Complaint – 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L Brake/Electric Parking Brake System Warning I am filing this complaint regarding a serious safety issue with my 2025 Honda Pilot EX-L, which I purchased brand new from Paragon Honda in Queens, New York, approximately one year ago. The vehicle currently has only 47,089 miles and has never been involved in an accident. While driving, multiple warning lights suddenly appeared on the dashboard, including a Brake System warning indicating a problem with the Electric Parking Brake system and that the parking brake was unavailable. …”

NHTSA complaint #11755405, filed 2026-08

“The seatbelt was either not assembled properly or installed incorrectly. The strap that’s on the wall does not have a metal piece to buckle into the latch that is in the seat crease. So there is no functional seatbelt on the rear passenger side on the third row.”
