2013 Husqvarna TR650 Engine Problems

“Engine stalls when trying to accelerate forward from a stop. This has caused several close calls when cars behind that expected me to move forward nearly rear-ended me. I now am in the habit of revving up the engine way more than should be necessary in order to avoid the stall.”

“My TR650 motorcycle stalls upon twisting the throttle to accelerate from a stop. I have almost been run over several times by cars directly behind me. This problem could easily kill someone that does not quickly pull over (if able) or restart before being struck from behind. It happens regardless of the temperature of the day or if the engine is warm or cold. This problem occurs every time I accelerate and has done so since I bought it new in dec 2012”

“Bought this bike in jan 2013, bike ran fine for about 10 months. Then slowly developed a dead spot in the throttle and the engine would miss. Then the stalling issue became apparent. When starting off in first gear you give it throttle and try to let the clutch out it stalls dead. It has happened to me multiple times in an intersection and has almost killed me. Every bike sold should be refunded completely. I am still making payments on this bike, and because its on a loan, it still requires insurance to be on it. …”

“Recently purchased a used 2013 TR650 terra. Using it as transportation to and from work. Rode without issue for two weeks. One night on the way home it stalled while exiting I-5 onto hwy 22 in salem. Restarted and went home. The following evening happened again on hwy 22 but was able to limp it home. The next several days I rode to work on backroads to be safer. The problem has gotten worse with several stalls daily. On wednesday night february 24 it stalled and could not keep it running after. Had to be towed home. This is how I get to and from work. There is a lot of history with this issue. …”

“Since day one, this bike has stalled randomly when slowing for traffic or when coasting on roadways. It has caused me to fall over in grass when the bike did not fuel when it should have. It also has a random high idle and fueling is horrible throughout the rev range. I have gone to four different Husqvarna dealerships on the east coast of the USA with no help. They all advise that now that ktm owns Husqvarna that they do not have nor do they want the moss tool software to attempt to rectify the issues. …”
