“Motorcycle will stall when taking off from a stop or when slowing down from a steady cruise to make a turn. It is dangerous to cross an intersection, I have to rev engine high and slip clutch more than normal. Bmw designed the motorcycle and owns the rights to the firmware to the engines computer. Bmw sold Husqvarna to ktm and we are left high and dry without any updates to the ECM. Bmw has a similar motorcycle g650gs that has the same motor and ECM and they have received multiple updates yet bmw will not help or release the codes to the ECM so we can get this problem fixed.”

“Purchased used in july 2016. Have experienced stuttering at intersections, and at low speeds. Have mostly been able to catch before stalling out, but did get caught in stop and go traffic with a stall. Have since found that there is a recall and want to add my concern for the safety risk of riding this motorcycle.”
