“Control arms rotted out and while I was driving. I was doing 25 on a side road when the vehicle started to slide and was unstoppable. I had to put the vehicle into park while it was still moving to get it to stop. When the tow truck driver and police arrived they said the control arms rotted out and snapped. Had I made the left to go down the hill they said I would have ended up in someone's house. The car seat driver side mounts are snapped as well.”
NHTSA complaint #10920059, filed 2016-10, 122,000 miles“My van wrenched into a power pole breaking the pole going over a large curb and down an embankment. Air bags did not deploy. I have had previous problems with the air bag light staying on and dealer service stated that it was from low voltage. Replaced battery at that time.”
NHTSA complaint #10378097, filed 2011-01, 71,000 miles“Air bag light has come on 4 times. 1st time repair was covered under warranty. 2nd time paid over $300 to repair. 3rd time was able to fix issue by removing items from under seats. 4th time light remains on currently. After searching online many other Hyundai owners have similar problems. This should be a recall issue and safety issues should not have an extra fee! Unethical!!!”
NHTSA complaint #11006671, filed 2017-07, 89,000 miles“2007 Hyundai Entourage slowed for a school bus was rear ended at high speed by a pick up truck. The car is now listed as totaled. No airbag in the back of the van went off. If my daughter was in the rear back seat she easily would have been seriously injured if not dead. Why didn't the airbag above her head (where she normally would have sit if she was in the car) go off?”
NHTSA complaint #10269318, filed 2009-05, 31,000 miles“For several months now the vehicle continues to display the airbag light on without going off. I have been to numerous mechanics who have all told the same thing that the vehicle has a manufacturer malfunction in the electronic system. All mechanics refuse to touch the vehicle due to this serious error. This light appeared without warning while the vehicle was parked and when turned on the airbag light appeared. I am uncertain as to when. …”
