NHTSA complaint #11774068, filed 2026-10“INCIDENT: Pressed brakes but car accelerated. STORY: I reversed out of a parking spot, turning so I could go to the right in parking lot. Put the car in drive and proceeded driving veering right in the parking lot. I pressed brake within 5 seconds of that but the accelerated instead, so I released the brake, looked down to double check I wasn't losing my mind and confirmed, I was pushing the break when it accelerated, pressed it again but much lighter this time and it did accelerated again as I veered to the right where there were no cars parked. …”
NHTSA complaint #11766127, filed 2026-09“I picked up my vehicle from the dealership after it being there for almost 2 weeks for multiple DTC codes, a dash cam component replacement, and recall updates. On the way home, my check engine light flashed on and off multiple times while driving at highway speeds (although no codes were recorded in my Hyundai app diagnostics). When I exited the highway, I came to a stop sign on the off ramp and waited till cross traffic cleared. I went to accelerate into traffic, but my car would barely move. This happened 4 more times in the short drive to my home. …”

The Tucson dropped to 30 MPH. After that it would accelerate with significant shuddering. This would repeat several times while driving. In addition there were no Malfunctioning indicators, or warning lights. We were never so scared in our lives. This occurred on Thursday , October 2 nd.2025 at around 1:00 P. M. On highway 355 and 53 traveling Northbound.”
NHTSA complaint #11691849, filed 2025-10“On August 30, 2026, I was driving my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy and was stopped in a fast-food drive-through line for approximately 15 minutes. Auto Hold was engaged, and for most of that time I also had my foot on the brake. Immediately before the incident, I believed the truck in front of me was finally beginning to move, so I recall beginning to release my foot from the brake. Without any intentional accelerator input from me, the engine suddenly revved very loudly, as though the accelerator had been fully depressed, and the vehicle rapidly accelerated forward. …”
