“Driver's side sun visor suddenly made a crack noise during normal operation and now the visor does not stay in place. I am not unable to use during bright sunny days because it greatly reduces my visibility by not staying in position. Instead I have to fight the sun which is dangerous too.”
NHTSA complaint #10780958, filed 2015-10, 116,000 miles“Lowering the driver side sun visor made a crackling noise then the visor would not stay in a fixed position up or down. Currently, I taped it up to old it out of my field of vision for driving until I can get it to the dealer. I certainly hope this is covered under the 5 yr bumper to bumper warranty.”
NHTSA complaint #10520833, filed 2013-06, 47,000 miles“Rear window shattered while commuting into work this morning on interstate I-95. The glass repair man stated new cars sometimes have a faulty wire that causes these windows to shatter. I was using the heater & had the defrost activated outside temperature: 27 degrees c. 2009 Hyundai Sonata gls. West palm beach, fl.”
NHTSA complaint #10370607, filed 2010-12, 49,000 miles“On april 13th, the weather was warm in the middle of the afternoon. I opened up my sunroof with intent to open it only partially. I have tried unsuccessfully to close my sunroof now. The mechanism that slides shut, does not work properly anymore. When the roof gets to the point of closing, it automatically goes back. I had to inch the sunroof closed as far as possible. I had to place plastic in the connection area to keep as much rain and wind out.”
NHTSA complaint #10584687, filed 2014-04, 75,000 miles“Lowering the driver side sun visor made a crackling noise then the visor would not stay in a fixed position up or down. Currently, I taped it up to old it out of my field of vision for driving until I can get it to the dealer.”
