“While I was driving I had come to a stop at the stop light. When it turned green I began to make a left turn. Halfway through the turn at a few miles an hour my engine light and traction control lights came on. At the same time the engine began to rev to about 4500 RPM. It died down quickly. I then had no response from the accelerator. Luckily I was able to pull over to the side of the road as I had just entered a town. I turned off the car and attempted to restart it. It would not restart until about 15 minutes later. …”

“Driving on highway went to pass a vehicle and merge into the next lane, when car lost speed. Pulled over and tried to restart car, car restarted only to shut right back off. Put quart of oil in and shortly after there was a clicking noise when I got up to speed, I had to put two more quarts in as well as a cleaning additive. Cannot drive over 8 mph without car making noise”

“I own a 2017 Hyundai sonata base, I got the car at around 168k miles and it’s now sitting at around 180k the car burns oil like crazy, I had taken it to the Hyundai dealership in Gaithersburg, MD and they declined the oil consumption test under warranty since the extended warranty is only until 150k, then they tell me if my engine seized and was towed to a local dealer only then they would likely replace it due to its failure. That the engine would only be covered if it seized. …”
