“Purchased vehicle january 2, 2015. My front windshield wiper went completely out on its own in march. The dealer I made the purchase service department made an adjustment that was never sufficient. In fact, I brought it back to the mechanic 4 times without have to leave the lot. He mentioned that there was a defect in it and that I would have to purchase a used motor that cost $350.00 plus $68.00 for installation. It is only sold a motor + transmission not motor only. The is a nation back order and only one company has it!!! This is recall or give me my money back if I ever heard of one. …”

“Takata recall - windshield wiper blade went out because it appears that the nut that fastens the transmission is not secure enough causing the blade to be totally inoperable. Even when the nut is refastened or replaced, it will loosen during an expected rain season that requires much use. It is likely the standard nut for this device could be replaced by a lock nut.”

NHTSA complaint #11105276, filed 2018-07, 85,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, an abnormal explosion was heard as the sunroof detached and separated from the vehicle. The contact pulled over and called a friend to pick up his wife and kids from the scene as he drove the vehicle to his insurance office. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed him that they had never heard of such a failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 151,577.”
