“The airbag light stays on. I have read numerous other complaints about this. There appears to be no solution to prevent the light from coming back on, despite different attempts to fix the problem. I understand if my vehicle is involved in an accident, the airbag will not deploy, which could result in a serious injury to someone in the passenger seat.”

NHTSA complaint #10292897, filed 2009-11, 4,162 miles“Passenger airbag light goes off due to something getting touched under the seat. Many times when under warranty, they reset it. But it is no longer under warranty I called to Hyundai to see if this is a defect and to see if the light on means their is no airbag working and complain that if my kid put his foot under the passenger chair or if a book went under it, it shouldn't trigger the airbag to shut off but no one ever got back to me. I called up the dealer and found out that the light on does mean the airbag is off and they are not aware of a recall but this happens a lot. …”
