“We have had on going brake problems with this vehicle. It started immediately. Grinding noise in rear brakes. We had to replace after just one month. Since then we have replaced the front brakes and rotors twice and rear brakes one other time. This is ridiculous when you consider this car is only barely three years old and has just 29,000 miles on it.”

NHTSA complaint #10189324, filed 2007-05, 102 miles

“While driving, AC came on full blast and I could not control it. None of the buttons worked on the unit at all. I have read similar complaints and their fix is the controller board or aftermarket radio system. I have an aftermarket radio/GPS unit installed, but it still have zero control over AC unit. No problem with radio ever. All of this is intermittently. Sometimes I can control it, but it want last long. Don't know what will happen this winter, since I have only owned the car for 5 months. I'll keep researching.”

NHTSA complaint #10628490, filed 2014-08, 67,450 miles

“I bought my 2004 Infiniti G35 in jan 2009 it had about 135000 miles. About a month later my cd player said check cd. The radio and cassette player works fine. I tried new cds and clean the cd player but still didn't work. I call Infiniti they said I may have to get a refurbished unit. I told them that the cd player should last longer than 5 years and that I had a 96 pontiac unit that still work. A week later I tried it and it was working fine until about a month ago it stop working and it still not working. I would like to know if Infiniti could help me.”

NHTSA complaint #10285147, filed 2009-09, 136,000 miles

“2004 Infiniti G35 with only 47000 requires 1 1/2 quarts of oil between 3000 mile oil changes and Infiniti states that this is normal. Also rack and pinion steering had to be replaced. Car still under warranty, but Infiniti refuses to check oil usage.”

NHTSA complaint #10233787, filed 2008-07, 45,000 miles

“2004 with approx. 7,200 miles. Rattling noise heard in 1st and 2nd gear. Dealer said it needed new tranny. Replaced tranny. Picked up car and while driving home, could not get it into 5th or 6th gear. Back to dealer. Was told that tranny was bad and had to be replaced again. Picked up car and within a week heard a knocking noise in 5th gear, vibration in stick shift and a clanking noise when applying the brakes for the first time after car sitting for a bit. Later found out that dealer lied about installing the 2nd transmission. …”
