“Takata recall. Received notification in july 2016. Now 8 months later, we have no further communication from Infiniti when this will be repaired and the dealers do not know, either. Infiniti's solution is to do an interim repair that disables the passenger side airbag- not really a fix . Can we get an update from Infiniti when they expect to be able to repair this problem?”

“Takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Infiniti M35. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v349000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there were cracks along the dash board. The technician mentioned that if the recall were performed, there was a possibility that the cracks on the dashboard could enlarge. The technician also stated that the part needed to perform the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. …”

NHTSA complaint #10913589, filed 2016-10, 120,000 miles

“Takata recall. Infiniti is not working with us in getting the recall work done. I live over 400 miles away from the nearest dealership and Infiniti is having us pay to either, get a rental car or pay for a hotel room. Of which I cannot afford either. I do not feel safe driving it until the recall is done.”
