“On july, 22, 2009, my 2006 Infiniti m35x accelerated out of control. I had parked the car and it took off , went through a metal fence, through some bushes and pulled a pole from the ground. The pole lodged at the bottom of the car and stopped the car which had not responded to the brakes. I was close to a brick building and would have been seriously injured or killed (according to the police) if the car had kept on going. A policemen who came to my rescue was convinced that I had accelerated instead of braking and wrote that in his police report. …”

“The navigation (map) screen turns off when a phone call is placed or received. Infiniti went to great lengths to create a system that allows for both hands free navigation and phone use. However some ridiculous reason they opted to replace the map screen with a screen that tells you your on the phone. This requires one to get lost if following the navigation or pull off to the side of the road until your off the phone. As far as I know this problem still exists in the 2009 model as well.”
