“A short in the hybrid system's fuse relay caused the air conditioning control unit and compressor to fail. This further shorted out the hybrid junction box causing the hybrid battery recharge and power management system to malfunction. Gas mileage was very adversely affected and the hybrid system would have eventually failed causing a potential safety issue where the vehicle could lose propulsion suddenly while driving.”
