“I have reached out to the dealership and Infiniti USA but to no avail. Safety issue: after coming to a full stop the door will not open when you pull the lever unless you manually unlock the door: you can't get out of the car unless you manually unlock it; this is a primary concern for emergencies when often people don't have their wits about them and may struggle with the door forgetting they have to manually unlock it. …”

“Navigation screen goes black sometimes when vehicle is put in reverse. This is a safety concern because of the limited visibility of the QX30, especially when backing up.”

NHTSA complaint #11142231, filed 2018-10, 14,500 miles

“What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? I am not entirely sure what specific part of my car is causing this issue, but from the research I have done regarding other people with my make/model of the car, it seems like it is something with the electrical system/auxiliary battery. Yes, it can be examined upon request at this time. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? …”

NHTSA complaint #11538709, filed 2023-08

“Hello. My vin number is not showing unresolved recalls, but I believe it is based on my experience. I was parking my car, which involved turning my steering wheel all the way to the right, and heard a crunching, clicking sound. I did some teoubleshooting, and believe it is the clock spring giving out. What concerns me is 1 of the 4 recalls in particular. Infiniti recalled the 2017 and 2018 QX30 compact crossover SUV due to a potential for the driver's airbag to deploy unexpectedly. …”

NHTSA complaint #11613830, filed 2024-09

“While driving vehicle warning message appeared on cluster saying “ABS INOPERABLE” with ABS and traction control lights on. Minutes later all power steering is gone and vehicle is very difficult to steer. This not only put me in danger but also my passengers and others on the road as well. This has happened multiple times. Brought the vehicle to the infinity dealer to be told I needed 2 new batteries. Bought new batteries and is still happening. The owner manual says to rock steering wheel side to side while driving 12mph to reset. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. …”
