“There is a very loud sputtering from the engine when I am stopped. It seems as though the car is going to die. No check engine light appears. I tried revving the engine in neutral to see if that would resolve it, to no avail. I just had my state inspection performed at the dealer less than a week prior to event. No issues came up at that time.”
NHTSA complaint #11083369, filed 2018-04, 75,000 miles“I’m reporting a serious safety issue with this Infiniti. Tonight while driving the engine just shut off. We fortunately were not in an accident, but easily could have been. What terrifies me is that this happened twice a few years ago. It was still under warranty so Infiniti inspected it and replaced the entire transmission. The warranty is expired, but this huge safety issue is still happening!”

I just had my car at the same dealership on 1/26/2023 and was told that everything was fine with my car. The problem started in March and I just had gotten gas, so I thought it was bad gas and needed to drive it out. But when I finally driven it out and got more from another station the problem persist. …”
