2017 Infiniti QX60 Steering Problems

“My car hydroplaned and everything shut off. The brakes and steering wheel locked and the engine shut off. There was nothing I could do to prevent the accident. I was driving under the speed limit and was not engaged in any reckless maneuvering. I felt the car slide in an unnatural direction and when I attempted to counter correct I found the steering wheel had locked. I next tried the brakes which were also unresponsive. The vehicle slide into the center divider on the freeway and I slowly rolled to a stop. …”

“A mechanic says it is PCM failure. I have owned the car for 18 months. Shortly after buying it, it started doing this thing where it loses power for just a second or two. Cruise control and proximity sensors kick off, steering wheel locks and/or power steering turns off, all interior components turn off. Usually everything comes right back on, and I can reset the cruise control. Lately it has been more frequent, and things don't go back to normal. It sometimes causes the vehicle to stall and not start as well. Today even once things are back on , I can't control the AC fan, radio volume, etc. …”
