“Check engine light stays on and truck cuts off frequently. I have had the plugs and wires changed, numerous oil changes, gas treatments. I took it to a mechanic several times. I even went on line to check information and was told that the fuel tank has gone bad and that one coming from the manufacture would cost $1500.00! I just bought this truck in may 2004. I haven't been able to drive the truck for almost 2 weeks, and I still over 2 1/2 years on it. Why aren't there recalls on this fuel tank/gas/emissions system ???I don't have $1500.00 dollars , plus continue to make payments on it too.”

NHTSA complaint #10174169, filed 2006-11, 71,000 miles

“Consumer states on going problem with engine stalling , hesitation, and vibrating while driving or running, vehicle has been to the dealer on three occasion and the problem reoccurring. The stalling engine problem was finally solved by replacing the EGR valve.”
