“My EGR valve on my 96 Isuzu Rodeo keeps going out. I have went to my local dealer and he said that in the last year he has sold over 100 EGR valves for this vehicle and that they have not recalled them. I need to know why they have not recalled this do to it being an ongoing problem causing extremely bad gas use.”
NHTSA complaint #10159281, filed 2006-06“While driving vehicle, another vehicle pulled out in front of my vehicle which caused me to hit that vehicle head-on and during that time air bag did not deploy; also, replaced oxygen sensor/fuel sending unit/wiring harness processing assembly.”
NHTSA complaint #803596, filed 1996-12“There have been 4 incidents. The first time the heator core went out and antifreeze poured into the passenger side floor. I had two inchs of antifreeze on the floor and if I had a passenger they would have been burned by the hot antifreeze. The second time the heater core went out the same thing happened. The 3rd time it was the radiator supposedly caused by stress from the heator core and the 4th time it was the radiator with a hole on the backside. I feel the continously breakdown has caused undue stress on the vehicle and is subject to a major engine breakdown at any time.”
NHTSA complaint #708617, filed 1999-07“Engine problems;losing power and making popping noises, when vehicle is traveling from start to 75 MPH vehicle stops, and engine shuts down everything, engine check light comes on wont turn off, ABS warning light comes on while vehicle is driven stays on,problems started on or about oct 2002 and have not stopped, tried to contact dealer, dealer no longer exists.help.”
NHTSA complaint #10029202, filed 2003-07“When driving at 25 MPH consumer heard a knocking and ticking noise within the front end. Also, ABS light and the gas light did not work during long drives. Consumer has contacted the dealer. Please provide any further details.”
