“Both drive and passenger windows will not operate propperly, becoming jammed on the track when going up to close. This is a problem that has always been associated with my truck, since I bought it with 32000 miles and now have 77000 two years later. Isuzu will not acknowledge the problem or take responsibility. The window will fail with every use. And is a comon uccorence in many other vehicrosses.”
NHTSA complaint #10118000, filed 2005-04, 35,000 miles“Due to a design flaw the power windows tilt forward and slip out of the track when going up which causes them to bind which can cause the window motor to burn out and have to be replaced. I end up assisting the window up with my other hand so this doesn't happen to me.”
NHTSA complaint #10114845, filed 2005-03, 20,000 miles“I own a 1999 Isuzu Vehicross that has a drivers window problem, I recently found that this is a problem with all Vehicross yet the dealer claims there are no problems. The cost to fix the problem is 800 dollars which is not a guarantee.”
NHTSA complaint #10145424, filed 2005-12, 4,500 miles“Both windows on my 1999 Isuzu Vehicross fall out of their track when raising the window. The motor on the driver's windows has been replaced once that I know of, since I am the third owner. This is a coomon problem with this vehicle as reported through a web page just for this type of car. This vehicle had a total production run in its three years of sale here in the us of just over 4000 cars. The reported failure of this window is a very high occurance when compared to that number. …”
NHTSA complaint #10116433, filed 2005-04, 60,000 miles“I own a 1999 Vehicross by Isuzu. I bought it two years ago and have only 469 miles on it. A few months ago the power window mechanism on the driver's side had to be replaced due to a failure of the track alignment. It cost me $800 to fix. Upon coming in contact with an organization of several hundred Vehicross enthusiasts I discovered that this type of window failure is epidemic with this model car. Some of the owners have had multiple failures -- I.e., the windows have been fixed only to fail again, sometimes three or four times. …”
