1999: “Purchased new Itasca motor home july 1999 has firestone steeltex radial 225/75r16 r4sii. Within first 18,000 right front tire blew off tread. Firestone blammed the failure on shelf life of tire too old this time we demanded new tires. Firestone installed 6 new at our expense. Front and 12,000 lbs. Rear and a total gvwr (gross vehicle weight rating) of 18,000 lbs. By accident, I found stamped into each wheel 2,780 lbs. Maximum load . My concern is that if I load the vehicle anywhere close to the maximum stated by the manufacturer, the wheels would be overloaded which could potentially lead to a catastrophic failure. …”

1998: “The contact stated the auto park button does not engage. While attempting to park the motor home, the column shift lever was maneuvered to the park position, however the auto park would not engage and the vehicle rolled forward. The contact quickly depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle without incident. Afterwards, while stopped and in drive the contact engaged the emergency brake. This time the vehicle rolled backwards. Once again the contact depressed the brake pedal and stopped the vehicle without incident. The dealer and manufacturer have not been alerted.”
