“I got a 2000 Jaguar S-Type from authorized dealer ( select edition ) condition on june 9, 2004. Son (driver) and his passenger were both belted july 2, 2004 during what he thought was a blowout. Car stopped perpendicular (after full spin) in opposite lane (facing east) from which it had been traveling (north). Wheel sheared from axle/hub on right front! Car on bare right front axle! My husband and I were at scene in minutes, we rejoiced no one was killed! No oncoming traffic! Seat belts were important as my son state he just held on. …”

Driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and pulled over to the shoulder. Vehicle was towed to the dealer, and mechanic determined that the left and right upper and lower ball joints needed to be replaced.”
