NHTSA complaint #11269774, filed 2019-10, 2,900 miles“The contact owns a 2017 Jaguar XE. The contact’s wife stated that while driving at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated. The brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond, and no warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle accelerated to an unknown speed, causing the contact’s wife to veer off the roadway and collide with a tree, where it came to a stop. The contact’s wife reported that the engine compartment caught fire upon impact and that the air bags deployed. As a result of the crash, the contact’s wife sustained a spinal injury and bruising. …”
