2010 Jaguar XF Exterior lighting Problems

“The leather dash(why, in hot cars?) has crumbled and come apart from the dash itself. It started off with a little crumbling and separation. Now it's much worse.this tends to flap up and down if driving with the windows down. This is a safety concern I have with visibility. Also, the dome vanity lights come on and off by themselves in motion and when the vehicle is stationary. I was told the carbon pad kit by the dealership due to the wiring has shorted out. Also, the engine control module shorted out. This is beyond me how the computer shorted out in a car that's only 7 years old.”

“My car also has the ongoing issue of the panel located between my speedometer and odometer the screen will randomly flicker and go out and then come back on I have notice the temperature when it's hot affects it worse that the winter but it happens all the time which scares me as I don't k ow when my car has issues as this is the only area that it will tell me my car is overheating amongst other notifications I called Jaguar and they want to charge me $3000+ to fix this. This is a defect ND should be replaced and not at the cost of the owner of the vehicle.”
