“To the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):Subject: Safety Issue Report: UConnect System Malfunction in Jeep VehicleDear NHTSA,I am writing to report a significant safety concern with the UConnect system in my Jeep, which has been malfunctioning for the past four months. The system's failure to recognize voice commands and manage remote commands compromises the vehicle's safety features, including hands-free calling and potentially emergency assistance services. …”

“On Sunday, February 2nd we were driving down the highway when the front sunroof on my Wagoneer spontaneously exploded. Thankfully I had the shade closed, so it caught the broken glass. Had it been open, who knows what would've happened. There were no other cars around, no overpass...just us on the highway. The dealer has the vehicle now, but it doesn't sound like it will be covered under our warranty. However, when I google my wagoneer sunroof exploded, there are tons of results of people having the same experience.”

NHTSA complaint #11640606, filed 2025-02

“While driving the breaks faultered and I had to slam on the break. I had to press all the way down on the break pedal to slow down or stop. Also when stopped at a light the car turns off and puts itself in park. I had to turn the car off and back on again to fix it. My safety and the safety of others was at risk due to chance of a significant car crash due to faulty break system. I had a near miss accident due to this reason. I will be calling the car dealership to tow the car to have it inspected. The ABS light came on as well as check engine light. Service power steering light also came on.”

NHTSA complaint #11730647, filed 2026-04

“This is a new 2023 Grand Jeep Wagoneer Series III L with an inline six HO engine that seats eight passengers. After about 500 miles or less, we noticed the vehicle shaking at highway speeds. Since it has only worsened, it has been to the dealership four times for a fix, without a solution. They exchanged the Pirelli tires for a Michelin, which did not fix this vibration error. …”
