“Water keeps flowing from the ceiling dome light. I have had it to the dealer several times, they keep blowing out the roof drains, and it keeps happening. I went out to the driveway and heard a humming sound coming from under the hood, and water was pouring from the ceiling light . I started the vehicle, and all the lights began flashing, and when I turned the key off, it kept running. I could not turn the car off!!! I had to disconnect the battery!!”
NHTSA complaint #10508934, filed 2013-04, 46,500 miles“The factory radio in my daughter's Jeep patriot kept blowing its supply fuse. We replaced the radio figuring that was the issue but the fuse would still blow. In troubleshooting the problem I discovered that the main wiring harness was not properly supported as its routed through the passenger compartment. It enters near the floor in the wall next to the drivers left foot and then turns horizontal under the dash just above the support assembly for the clutch/brake pedals. …”
NHTSA complaint #10515995, filed 2013-06, 38,500 miles“The vehicle habitually will stall while driving. It seems to be related to getting it fueled up. I cannot get any support from the dealer regarding the issue, and it seems to be a common problem when looking on various Jeep patriot forums.”
NHTSA complaint #11065977, filed 2018-01, 105,000 miles“Numerous problems with water leaking through the dome light and onto all electrical panels on the dashboard. Brought the vehicle to the Jeep dealer who claimed they cleaned the sunroof drainage tubes but this did not solve the leak problem. Jeep refuses to cover this problem under terms of warranty.”
