“When parked in my driveway, at a slight incline, in the rain, the car leaks rain. The water fills the rear ceiling lamp and then spills out into the back of the vehicle. When significant rainfall occurs, the well for the spare tire has filled with several inches of water. This has created a situation for mold to grow, a mildewy smell, and I have concern about the water in the lamp. Vehicle was brought to dealership after first occurance and was fixed , but during the next storm, it happened again. It's currently at the dealership awaiting repair for the second time. …”
NHTSA complaint #10213816, filed 2008-01, 14,500 miles“2007 Jeep patriot limited - stream of water leaking from dome lights and map lights, and also along the sides of the headliner in car. Was advised possible kinked or clogged drainage tubes. Checked no kink, and when water was poured down directly into tubes, it drained with no clogs. Water running into radio/cd player. Electrical hazard. No solution being offered by Jeep! Many people have filed complaints but there has been no recall of any sort.”

NHTSA complaint #10291653, filed 2009-11, 55,000 miles“My daughter's Jeep has an extended warranty due to the rust and holes in the Jeep's crossmembers. The gave me as reference x58. She needs them replaced as there are large holes in them, but the dealership told her if they couldn't get it off they would have to cut other parts and she would be responsible for the cost of the parts and labor (approximately $400) which the dealership said is typical. I've been in touch with customer service at Jeep and they said she would first have to have the work done and then if there was a charge they would consider helping. …”
