“2009 Jeep patriot sunroof leak - after a heavy rain I got in my car and when I drove off water poured from my map lights. Took it into the dealer and the cleaned the drain lines. About a week later we had another storm and the same thing happened. I took it back to the dealer and until it rains again I will not know if it will happen again.”
NHTSA complaint #10322748, filed 2010-03, 11 miles“The k frame (front cross member) rusted and failed resulting in both a frames and ball joints to also fail. The rack and pinion sterring controls are shifting on the k frame as well. Jeep offers no recalls or extended warranty for this common problem. Loss of steering control presents a hazzard due to substandard metal premature failure. First note of failure was while the vehicle was in motion at about 30 MPH while turning right.”
