“Two brake assemblies broke off axles and failed to stop vehicle in safe stopping distance. This has happened to 6 other known incidents in the last 6 months. The brake assemblies have to be rewelded to the axles of the vehicles before they can be operated again safely. This defect is on semi tractors carrying 80,000 lbs gross weight and they do not have safe stopping distance to avoid a crash with this defect.”
